Behavior Technician 

 

Job Summary: 

 

The Behavior Technician (BT) is a specialized support role that provides targeted behavioral intervention services to students with significant behavioral needs within a center-based school. The BT works under the guidance of the Behavior Consultant (BC) and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to implement and support individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs).

The BT may support multiple students and/or classrooms, focusing on the implementation of behavior intervention strategies, data collection, and skill acquisition programs. Responsibilities include modeling interventions for staff, supporting fidelity of PBSP implementation, and assisting in reducing challenging behaviors while promoting replacement skills.

The BT plays a key role in ensuring consistency, data integrity, and adherence to evidence-based practices across settings.
