Thompson M-TEC is seeking an experienced Property Maintenance professional to join our team as a part-time evening instructor. This is an opportunity to share your industry knowledge and hands-on experience with adults preparing for careers in property maintenance and facilities support.

Our Property Maintenance Technician (PMT) Program provides students with practical, hands-on skills they can use immediately in the workplace.

POSITION DETAILS

• Part-time
• Two evenings per week
• 12-week program
• Approximately 4 hours per evening
• $45/hour based on experience
• Located at the new Thompson M-TEC facility in Holland

WHAT YOU'LL TEACH

Students develop foundational skills in areas including:

• Electrical systems and troubleshooting
• Plumbing
• HVAC fundamentals
• Appliance repair
• Basic building maintenance
• Interior and exterior repairs
• Tools, equipment and workplace safety
• Preventive maintenance
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for an experienced maintenance professional who:

• Has a minimum of 5 years of industry experience
• Currently holds a CAMT credential preferred
• Has strong practical knowledge of residential or commercial property maintenance
• Enjoys teaching, mentoring and helping others develop their skills
• Can explain technical concepts clearly to beginning-level students
• Is dependable, patient and safety-focused
• Enjoys hands-on instruction

This position will be hired through EduStaff.
